Masterclasses in the Teatro Real

Over the last few weeks, four Lope de Vega students are enjoying along with their teacher, Pablo Abarca, some masterclasses inside the Teatro Real in order to gain first-hand knowledge of how an opera performance works. Next week they will attend a singing workshop and a dress rehearsal!

Exchange programme LOPE DE VEGA – GALILEO GALILEI

Winners of the contest “EsÓpera”!!!

Lope de Vega school has been awarded 1st prize in the contest “EsÓpera”. The award includes 5 two-hour-long masterclasses at Teatro Real in Madrid, in which the students accompanied by their music teacher, Pablo López Abarca, will learn about the production of an opera show from the inside: rehearsals, staging, the technical side of the building, workshops… Also, we will attend a dress rehearsal of one of the shows.

Congratulations to all the students that took part in the project for their fantastic performance!!!

1/100,000 FUNDRAISING RUN

Last Friday all our students and teachers took part in the 1/100,000 fundraising run, showing their commitment to pediatric leukaemia. Thank you all for your cooperation.

Cultural immersion trip to Blackpool (UK)

Cultural immersion trips give travelers experiences only locals normally have access to. Our students have the opportunity to stay with local families and glimpse daily life in the host country as well as enjoy the most outstanding sites in Blackpool or Liverpool.

First Spanish – Italian exchange

Our first Italian – Spanish exchange with students from Scuola Santa Dorotea in Lucca (Italy) was incredible!

Interaction, communication, friends, sightseeing, games and many more things…. We just can’t wait to do it again!!

WHEN SHAKESPEARE CHANGED EVERYTHING

Our 1st and 2nd of ESO students have had the chance to enjoy a superb performance by “The Improving Co” and their showtime “When Shakespeare Changed Everything”. Magic tricks, interactive theatre, monologues and many other things.

3rd Musical Event “Únete al ritmo de la concertada”

On March 31st, it will take place the 3rd musical event “Únete al ritmo de la concertada“, where students from all the semi-private schools of Alcalá  will bring their voices together to promote and emphasize the importance of their schools.

Food collection for charity

Our students have been collecting food at a local supermarket in order to help those in need, as part of our commitment to human rights and personal values. Many thanks to all the teachers and students that took part in it.
